Hi, I’m Gary Strain, the owner of GS Chauffeurs Ireland, a bespoke chauffeur and tour company based here in Ireland.
I’m a family man with a wonderful wife and four amazing kids. My love for Ireland grew during our many family trips to places like Donegal and the Giant’s Causeway. Those experiences deepened my appreciation for Ireland’s stunning landscapes, rich history, and the joy of exploring them with loved ones.
These family adventures inspired me to create a business where I could share that same sense of discovery and connection with others. Whether it’s taking in the breathtaking coastline or uncovering hidden gems, I want my clients to experience the magic of Ireland the way I have.
I was born and raised in the Bogside area of Derry during the Troubles, a time that shaped not only my life but also the identity of the north of Ireland. Growing up in the heart of a community that faced such challenges taught me resilience, a deep sense of pride in where I come from, and the value of peace.
The Bogside was a close-knit community during those difficult years. While life was often marked by struggle, it was also full of warmth, solidarity, and hope for a better future. Today, that hope has become a reality, and I’m proud to share how far the north of Ireland has come—transforming into a place of peace, beauty, and incredible history.
